Welcome to Kandia World Beat, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Sacramento, California. We empower youth and families through bilingual performing arts education, cultural celebration, and community-driven entertainment. Our platforms nurture artistic expression, honor traditions, and inspire new generations to embrace their voices, stories, and heritage.

OUR PROGRAMS
TROPICAL SUNDAYS LATIN FEST SERIES
A free, family-friendly cultural series held every Sunday from October to November at Clara Performing Arts Center. This festival blends live Latin music, dance, local food, and vendors, bringing together 200+ attendees each week to celebrate Latino culture and businesses.
BROADWAY RISING
A 10-week after-school performing arts program for students ages 7–14, combining acting, singing, and dance instruction using licensed Broadway Junior® material. The program culminates in a live production and provides paid opportunities for local teaching artists.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
Throughout the year, we produce cultural celebrations, festivals, and educational programs that strengthen community bonds, honor diverse traditions, and create platforms for emerging talent to shine.

Daniela Mosquera Kandia
Co-Founder & Executive Director
A three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, television and entertainment producer with over 15 years of experience in storytelling and community-centered media. Daniela is passionate about creating spaces where Latino culture and youth empowerment intersect.

Carlos Kandia
Co-Founder & Artistic Director
A celebrated Latin musician, educator, and event producer with more than 15 years of experience mentoring youth. Recognized as a Latino Changemaker and World Music Artist of the Year, Carlos uses music as a tool for education, healing, and cultural pride.

Together, they founded Kandia World Beat to create a cultural movement rooted in empowerment, opportunity, and celebration. They are also the founders of Kandia Entertainment, an award-winning production company recognized for high-quality cultural events across Northern California.
